Michelle Hunter is a teacher with a mission. She wants parents everywhere to wiggle, jiggle and sing together with their children! Being at "Miss Michelle's" classes, concerts, and birthday parties is like being at a musical playground. Everyone is tapping, clapping, jumping, singing, and laughing. It's fun, it's educational, and imaginative. Miss Michelle's guitar is always asleep - and the audience gets to help wake it up! She uses movement, puppets, and rhythm instruments to bring out the music in everyone. Her easy-to-sing songs are like creative storyboards that call for audience participation and movement. Even very young children see the humor in her songs.
Miss Michelle started teaching music to young families back in 1993, inspired by watching her two young daughters moving to music. She picked up her guitar and has been bringing it with her ever since. Michelle has a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Drake University. And, she continues her education in the area of music for young children as it pertains to the developement of literacy skills.
Michelle lives in Buffalo Grove with her husband, 2 teenage daughters and a fluffy dog, Lucy.
